Depending on your usage, have your authorized service center regularly check your battery electrolyte level every 3 months. Remember that if the level is low, distilled water needs to be added to your battery. Do not use any liquid other than distilled water for this procedure.
During every technical service check, always have the tightness or oxidation status of the battery terminal clamps checked. Remember that loose clamps can lead to negative consequences, ranging from the melting of the terminal post to your battery catching fire. If there is oxidation on the clamp, be sure to remove it by washing the terminal post with hot water. Otherwise, additional resistances caused by oxidation can prevent your battery from charging.
During technical service maintenance, have the voltage of your battery checked. Performing this check 1 hour after the engine has cooled down will allow you to see the true voltage value of your battery. If the voltage value is between 12.40-12.60 volts, remove the battery and charge it for 3-6 hours at 1/20 Cn (charge with 1/20 of the battery capacity). Take the battery voltage at the end of charging 1 hour after the battery has rested. If the battery voltage is >12.70 volts, you can stop charging. If the battery does not reach the desired values despite charging, have the battery fault maintenance procedures performed. (There may be sulfation or similar formations in your battery)
